Castofix is a self-driving crucible tipping device. This autonomous crucible transport and tilting device was designed and developed to enable the in-plant handling of liquid aluminium transport containers with a capacity of 5 to 6 tonnes. The device offers the ability to internally transport these containers and to transfer the melt into the relevant furnace or casting systems without having to deploy (and therefore purchase) any additional cranes or on-site transport vehicles.

This makes it significantly quicker, easier and more cost-effective to use liquid aluminium.
